Honestly, trying to clear out all your liked videos on mobile can feel like a hassle. But if you’re tired of that cluttered playlist or worried about privacy, here’s a semi-reliable way to wipe everything clean from your phone, no PC needed. Fair warning: it’s a bit fiddly, and sometimes, the process doesn’t work perfectly on the first try, especially with the mobile browser quirks. Still, it’s worked on a couple of setups I tested.

Prerequisites

Before diving in, make sure you’ve got:

  • A mobile device (Android or iPhone) with internet access.
  • The YouTube app installed, but mostly you’ll be doing stuff in the browser.
  • A web browser that can request desktop sites (Chrome, Safari, etc.).
  • Your Google account credentials — same as you use for YouTube.

Step 1: Open Your Mobile Browser

Start by launching your preferred browser. Chrome on Android, Safari on iPhone — whatever you prefer. The goal is to access the Google My Activity page directly, which is better suited in a browser anyway.

Step 2: Head to myactivity.google.com

Type that into the URL bar: myactivity.google.com. This page is basically where Google logs all your activity, including YouTube likes.

Note: Some folks say just going directly to YouTube doesn’t give you enough control for mass deletion. This site is your best shot.

Step 3: Request Desktop Site

This step is kinda crucial because the mobile view often hides or simplifies options. To do that:

  • Tap the menu (usually three dots) in the upper right corner.
  • Select Request Desktop Site. On Chrome, it’s usually right there — on Safari, it’s under Settings.

Expect the layout to shift, maybe look weird. That’s normal — Google wants you to think it’s a desktop for easier manageability.

Step 4: Sign in to Your Google Account

If it prompts, log in with the account linked to your YouTube. If you’re already signed in, great. If not, do that now. The more consistent your account, the smoother this’ll go.

Step 5: Find Your YouTube History

Scroll down a bit or use the sidebar to look for YouTube History. On some browsers, the menu is hidden — just scroll and hunt. Clicking this will open your activity list.

Step 6: Manage History and Reach Your Likes

In the YouTube activity page, tap on Manage Your Activity. Here, Google groups your activity, including liked videos, watch history, searches, etc. Sometimes it’s slow or the options look limited, but keep hunting.

Step 7: Access Your Interactions or Likes

Look for an area named Interactions. Click or tap on it. Then select Likes. This should show a list of all videos you’ve thumbed up — not your entire watch history, just the liked ones.

Note: If that section isn’t obvious, you might have to filter or look for a “Liked videos” playlist in your YouTube account directly—works sometimes, but not through Google My Activity.

Step 8: How to Delete All Liked Videos

This is where it gets messy. You can delete videos individually by tapping the X or Remove icon, but that’s tedious.

What might help: tap that hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) or look for a Delete All button. On some versions or browsers, it appears as a small link or button. If you see it, hit it.

Basically, a confirmation box should pop up warning you that everything will be wiped. Confirm if you really want to delete your liked history.

This step is kind of weird because sometimes the Delete All option doesn’t show up or fails to work. On one setup it worked after a page refresh; on another, I had to try again or restart the browser.

Step 9: Finalize & Refresh YouTube

Tap Delete. Once confirmed, your liked videos should be gone. Now, open the YouTube app, go to your profile, and refresh the page. You should see a blank or emptied likes section.

Another point — if your app doesn’t update immediately, try closing and reopening it. Or force stop and clear cache, if needed, but that’s going a bit further than this guide.

Step 10: Sign Out for Privacy

If you’re paranoid about privacy, sign out of your Google account in your browser or app. Just go to account settings, pick Sign out. That way, no one else can stumble into your liked videos later.

Remember: Google’s login system is persistent, so unless you sign out, it might keep tracking activity.

Extra Tips & Common Bumps

Real talk — this isn’t perfect. On some devices or browsers, the Request Desktop Site toggle doesn’t work right away, or the Delete All button is missing. Sometimes, you get lucky, and other times you don’t — could be Google updating stuff behind the scenes.

If you hit a dead end, another trick is to manually select videos and delete in batches, but that’s time-consuming. Also, some say disabling and re-enabling the YouTube app, or clearing app data, can reset the liked videos without all this hassle — YMMV.

Summary

  • Use myactivity.google.com in desktop mode on your phone.
  • Navigate to Interactions > Likes.
  • Try to find a Delete All option — not guaranteed.
  • Confirm deletion, then refresh YouTube on your device.
  • Sign out if you wanna keep things private.

Hopefully this shaves off a few hours for someone. Because of course, Google wants to make it as fun as pulling teeth to mass delete activity from your phone.
